About the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid
The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid redefines what an SUV can be. It’s powerful. Capable. Luxurious. Most importantly, though, it’s efficient. Its turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, combined with a hybrid electric power system, produces the performance you’d expect from a Porsche with efficiency you’ve likely never experienced in an SUV before. A 17.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides up to 34 miles of electric-only range without sacrificing the incredible performance available from a combined 455 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the technology doesn’t stop there – a customizable heads-up display provides key info to the driver without drawing attention away from the road ahead.
What The Critics Say
"Its battery pack can complete a full recharge in about 2.5 hours when connected to a 240-volt, 30-amp source, and the SUV has a pure electric range of more than 20 miles. Did we mention it can also sprint to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds at 121 mph? It's one of the quickest SUVs we've ever tested." — Car & Driver
"The Cayenne’s interior does a good job of mixing Porsche’s sporting roots with the more substantial architecture SUV buyers expect. A sober dashboard design feeds into a wide center console, with two great big grab handles on either side of the transmission tunnel. Build quality is typical Porsche—that is to say, faultless. The seats are supremely comfortable, and come with the delicious houndstooth inserts that are unique to the Lightweight Sport Package. With 18 ways of power adjustment, they’re incredibly supportive too." — AutoGuide
What’s New for 2023
Porsche hasn’t made any serious changes to the Cayenne E-Hybrid for 2023. The paint color Chalk has been discontinued, and Jet Black Metallic has been replaced with a new Chromite Black Metallic. The infotainment system now has Spotify integration, and Android Auto can now be used wirelessly. There is also a new trim level, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Platinum Edition. This doesn’t introduce any new features, but it packages together a lot of the more popular features into one trim.
Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Features

Performance
The sophisticated powertrain of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid provides plenty of power and incredible efficiency – two attributes once thought incompatible. A 3.0-liter turbo V6, combined with an electric motor and a 17.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, produces 455 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, while providing an all-electric range of 17 miles. The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid can reach 60 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds en route to a top speed of 157 miles per hour. Of course, there’s more to high performance than just raw power. The Tiptronic S transmission provides quick shifts without being jarring or uncomfortable under everyday use. Porsche Traction Management (PTM) improves driving dynamics under hard cornering, while the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) balances impeccable handling with compliant road manners.

Interior
Acid Green is an eye-catching accent color that’s unique to electrified Porsche models. On the Cayenne E-Hybrid, it materializes as special badging, as well as the color of the brake calipers; inside, the theme is continued with Acid Green needles on the analog gauges, as well as on various digital displays that monitor performance. The Cayenne E-Hybrid features a customizable, full-color heads-up display that projects key information onto the windshield in your line of sight, keeping you informed without taking your eyes off the road. The capacitive touch buttons on the center console provide a clean look while retaining all of the functions necessary for operating important vehicle functions.

Battery Charging & Range
Underneath the rear cargo area is a 17.9 kWh battery pack that powers the electric motor in the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid. This battery pack allows the Cayenne E-Hybrid to drive up to 17 miles on pure electric power. With a 230 volt, 32 amp connection and the optional 7.2 kW onboard charger, a fully depleted battery can be recharged in just 3 hours. You can monitor the progress of your charge with the onboard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, or via your smartphone with the Porsche Connect app. Finally, efficiency, performance, and practicality can live in perfect harmony.

Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid
For those who demand an even higher level of performance, consider the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. Like the Cayenne E-Hybrid, it offers the efficiency and flexibility of a hybrid powertrain, while also delivering incredible acceleration and top speed. The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid boasts a 0-60 time of just 3.6 seconds when equipped with the Sport Chrono package, as well as a top speed of 183 miles per hour thanks in no small part to a combined horsepower figure of 670. That’s the sort of performance you might not expect from an SUV – but, by now, you’re likely well aware that the Porsche Cayenne is no ordinary SUV.
