What’s New for 2026

A wide variety of key updates and improvements have been made to the iconic Porsche 911 for the 2026 model year. Back again this year is the Carrera 4S trim level, offered across coupe, Targa, and convertible body types. Carrera 4S models feature a rear-biased variant of Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive for enhanced traction and agility. In terms of tech, the 911 benefits from an updated infotainment system that adds native app store integration, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and superior responsiveness compared to the prior version. Rounding out the list of changes, the available Burmester and Bose audio systems now benefit from the addition of Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.

Timeless Exterior

The next chapter in the storied history of the Porsche 911 begins with the eighth generation which remains modern while paying homage to 911 models of the past. Significantly wider wheel housings accent large 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels. At the front, body width has been expanded by 1.77 inches, making room for a wider front track. Rear body width has been preserved, showcasing the iconic side profile of this timeless sports car. The front luggage compartment lid with pronounced contours evokes the design of the first 911 generations, flanked by LED headlights. In an effort to reduce weight, the entire outer skin is now comprised of aluminum with the exception of the front and rear fasciae.

Potent Performance

Every 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera T now produces 388 horsepower thanks to a reimagined turbocharged flat-six engine. The result is a remarkable gain in comparison to the previous generation. The dynamic 911 GTS takes just 2.9 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour from a dead stop, while the 911 GTS 4 Coupe with all-wheel drive mirrors the same time. Step up to the 911 Turbo or 911 Turbo S to feel the exhilaration of a track-proven twin-turbo flat-six. An available Sport Chrono Package lowers these times even further by 0.2 seconds. An 8-speed PDK dual clutch transmission is included as standard and a manual transmission is also available.
